Just took my 6yr old son to the Buckye club's showing and had hoped to find some activities for children to get him interested.....heard about your club and had to check it all out! I had my own "bag" of marbles that I played with as a child that I am now passing down (more like sharing) with my son and hope to have fun learning more about them.

I have been involved in marbles since 1960..I love the machine made, the handmade and was the first dealer to promote the art glass marbles in 1980. 5 makers..now over 125. I love paying the glass makers in advance and helping to promote them..

I am very happy for Jabo and David M..for what is going on and hope this will keep Jabo in business for another 25 years.

Your newsleetter is a winner..Keep it up..I am sure it is a lot of work but appreciated by all those that receive it.

I have been collecting machine made marbles from the 40's, 50's for 15 years. I have thousands, however, I am strictly amateur. From some of the pics, it looks like many people have expensive marbles. Mine are just basic. I have several German swirls, tho. I am wondering if I would be out of place at your 2009 show? Do dealers help with understanding what you have? I would like to attend, but am afraid it is to advanced for me. Please let me know deaston@frontiernet.net

I'm really interested in this site and your group. Would love to go to your annual meeting in May but was wondering if you had any between now and then or any monthly or quarterly or whatever meetings.

My husband is an avid marble collector. We are considering a trip to WV in 2009 to antique shop, especially for marbles. We would also be intersted in any upcoming marble shows. We live in Florida. Thanks

I have been trying to find a copy of the book on the Vitro Agate Marble company that was available through the now-closed Marble Museum by Chris Cooper. My grandfather was the plant manager (Lewis Moore) and worked there most of his working years. I would like a copy of this book for my mother. Any suggestions?
